The Sollenberger Sports Center at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA completed a major two-year renovation bringing impressive updates to the campus. The heart of these upgrades is a new 15,000 square foot fitness space, providing students and employees abundant fitness opportunities on state-of-the-art equipment.
The fitness center boasts Precor’s entire line of 800 series cardio equipment. Each piece is equipped with a P82 touchscreen console to help motivate and engage both new and advanced gym-goers. Spinner® Chrono™ Power bikes from Precor will also allow for the facility to offer spin classes for the first time. A Queenax X2 500 Open Format system accommodates functional and body weight training and is sure to be a favorite for those looking to add exciting variety to their fitness routines. Keiser strength stations, the Escape Move It Training Program, and a variety of Escape accessories are also highlights of the new center.
The new facility will greatly benefit Messiah’s already extremely successful athletic program which has produced national champions in field hockey, soccer, wrestling, softball, basketball, and individual track events. Along with recreational benefits, the center will also be used for academic purposes.
“We are excited to have a fully equipped state of the art facility to meet the fitness and wellness needs of our students, student athletes, and employees, “ said Kevin Ogden, Director of the Fitness Center at Messiah College. “We are very thankful for all the help we received in getting it up off the ground.”
